Lauren, a friend of mine, taught me how to combine my wide-angle lens with my short telephoto to make a sort of ghetto macro lens. I was in the mood for some grainy black and whites, so I bumped my ISO up to 1600, and created these shots of a dime that was laying on my dresser. They are completely un-edited, except for resizing, the vignette came naturally. You can buy the set of three 4x6's for $20 if it suites your fancy.

On the more philosophical side,
lately I've been struck by realization of the massive consequences of even the smallest of actions can cause.

...I don't the above sentence quite came out right, and it seems to be much too long.

But what I mean is, whether you realize it at the time or not, even the smallest of choices may affect you for the rest of your life!
I wish I had an example, but I don't at the moment.

Think about it, and tell me if you agree.
If you've seen it in your own life, give me your example.

Yeah, umm..."mentally", as you say, I am doing better. :) I've sorted a few things out a little at a time, as of this afternoon, actually, think I have a bit of a handle on it. I'm feeling more myself.
Thanks for caring. :)

Oh, and btw, what's with the "Tracy"???
That's actually what my family (grandmother, father, aunts, uncles, and cousins) call me, but I don't remember telling anyone on xanga that, so I was a little surprised! Did you just write that because the guy above you did? I wonder why he did because I haven't told him that to my recollection. Weird! :O lol

ha! your last comment on my post was hillarious!

i agree about small actions, but i don't have a good example at the moment.  most of my mistakes are bigger than life size.

Hah. Yeah. That made me laugh when I read it too. I completely agree about the small things. This is going to sound horrible, but I'll give you my example. I used to work at my dance studio and I agreed to work before an in-class performance kind of thing. My parents wanted me to go to the hospital to see my uncle because I hadn't seen him in three weeks, but I had already agreed to work. I could have easily gotten off, but I just didn't feel like going to a hospital. That night my Dad came to watch me present my composition and when we walked out the door, he told me that my uncle died twenty minutes after they left the hospital. That small decision to work for someone and then the small decision to not go to the hospital even though I didn't have to work fill me up with so much guilt. So there's your example.

Your nun misses you too. Your nun had a birthday recently. She is now 16. She also still prays for you. (and hopes your pencils are doing fine as well)

I am an old guy of 74, married 51 years and retired 11.  I am the longest living male on my dad's side of the family. I have made lots of decisions.

One that stands out is my mother pushing me to attend a new junior college. I was an awful student in every grade.  I was even expelled once for cussing out the coaches at high school. I thought mom was out of her mind. Reluctantly, I went.

I ran into a Dr. Hubbard who decided to mentor me. At the end of the first semester I had 4 A's and 2 B's. I got an A- on my first ever term paper. I suddenly realized that I could learn something. I was not dumb like I and everyone else thought.

neat :] school is so soon... and the only positive thing i can get from it is that means it will be over that much sooner :] every action has a consequence... it doesn't matter how small. it's very, very true.

Yeah. I have my busy days, split apart by days where I do absolutely nothing. Ah.

And yes, I do personally know Sara. Sara Anderson! She's a cool girl, just got screwed over really badly. So we're all chipping in to help her pay off the fine to free her. :)
