I want to start shooting with film.
I didn't want to do it until I was fully capable of handling an SLR, and using all the controls correctly.
I am.

I want a really old camera, that will give me that worn feel in my pictures.

Any suggestions from you crazy art kids??
I know nothing about film cameras.

I have a super old Canon SLR. I've never used it before, though. I've tried film plenty of times, and never had the patience for it. If I want my photos to have a vintage feel, I just fool around with it in photoshop. But I understand what you mean. I'd lovveeee to have a polaroid.

Cool shot, by the way. :)

it's more in what film you use and how it's processed and how old it is. just shooting expired film will do crazy stuff to the photo sometimes.

i love the shot you have up here.  the perspective is g r e a t.

btw, you never answered my q:  how large can i go with the glass and light photo you did before u lose clarity.  it looks really awesome on my computer with all the light behind it, but i just wonder if you can get it that bright in a photo.

AND............

Beware your music could be causing hypothalamus to secreta CRH which travels to your pituitary gland and stimulates the release of ACTH, which will in turn race to the adrenal glands & cause them to release the biochemicals cortisol and adrenaline.  That is not good news.

You can get the "old film" appearance on your digital photos with actions, like Kevin Kubota's, without fooling with all the processing, printing, putting it onto a cd so you can then put it on your computer and/or into your photoshop program. There are lots of "actions" you get get out there and they aren't all that expensive. Anyway, just a suggestion.

i shoot with film that expired four years ago.

and my camera's sealing is shotso there are all of these bright spots from where light leaked in. and really bright colours, but that's mainly the chemical makeup of the film being wacked out.

i love this picture :]

my friend ty is also getting into using film.  he got a pentax for pretty cheap and he loves it.

i suggest you look at keh.com, they have loads of cameras and a lot of them can be cheap.  i'm getting a canon digital rebel eos for like 400 or something on there. wonderful.

hehe...lol...hehe!!!! I love that pic!! Ok so my mom uses film and she hates digital I have herd that you ether like one or the other:/ I don't think thats true but my mom gets her film done at Wolf Camera and it makes such a differnt looking pic its crazy!!! they can do any thing with film so if you use them to develop it you can get the old look without the old camera.
